born on January. 19 1946 on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family which would later comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the challenges of life thanks to her expansive and imaginative imagination. Even before learning to write and read the music she wrote herself, she created the music she composed herself. In 8 years, she was playing her first guitar. As a teenager she started singing on the radio station of Knoxville Tenn. The same year when she began recording her first album with Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. Despite being in college, she already established herself on the local scene. However, her goal was to become better well-known. She relocated to Nashville shortly after her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde was her first single to reach the top of the charts on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female vocalist to be a part of his syndicated show until this point. Parton was brought on in the year she signed with RCA Records by 1968, she joined the Grand Ole Opry. The show was cancelled by Wagoner, nevertheless, in 1974 when her albums on her own like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene exceeded the sales of their joint albums.
