Zoe Saldana is the child of Asalia Saldana and Aridio Nazario. She was born in Passaic (New Jersey) on June 19th, 1978. His father was Dominican as is her mother Puerto Rican. Her parents raised their daughter at home in Queens, New York. When she was 10 years young the family were relocated to the Dominican Republic, where they were to stay for seven years. Zoe discovered a love to dance while in the Dominican Republic. She began training at ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy in which she was able to study dance and various forms of dancing. Her training was not only an excellent opportunity for this energetic and passionate young lady, but it also served as a great way to prepare her for an acting profession. At age 17, Zoe and her family moved back in the United States where her love for dancing continued and her interest in theater performance became more intense. Zoe is not just a star in the motion picture business, but she has earned praise and respect from people who know her like Steven Spielberg and Jerry Bruckheimer along with actors and actresses including Tom Hanks and Bernie Mac. The sky is the limit for her according to many of the co-stars. Directors and producers. The young star is blessed with an incredible range and concentration.
